2022 opened late and cool, the kind of nervous start that keeps growers up at night, and then the fall broke record heat and sun and rewrote the whole season. What that gave us is the intersection winemakers chase and rarely catch: fruit that held every note of its aromatics while the flavours went deep, natural acidity that stayed bright, and tannin, texture, and weight that all landed in balance.
Wines like these do not come from easy years. They come from a season that tests you and then delivers, and 2022 delivered one of the finest vintages the Okanagan has put on record.
